Disqualified renfrewshire bus companies appeal decision

In March 2008 the Traffic Commissioner for Scotland Joan Aitken called Barrhead Bus Company Ltd, First Stop Travel LLC Ltd, Local Bus Company Ltd and Gullivers Travel Ltd to a public inquiry. An application for an operator licence made by Flying Scotsman (RoadTrains) Ltd was also considered and subsequently refused at the inquiry. The Traffic Commissioner withdrew the licences held by the four Renfrewshire bus companies, disqualified Mr John Walker, Operator and Director of all companies, for 10 years and imposed fines totalling almost £42,000.
